Always labelled
Every paid gym or trainer placement is marked Spotlight, Featured or Promoted at the point it appears. Demo promotions are marked Demo. Spotter does not present paid placement as an independent community recommendation.
Never changes the score
Payment may change eligible placement in matching discovery results. It cannot add reviews, suppress genuine criticism, alter dimension ratings, raise the community index or change an AI summary.
Verification first
A gym or trainer must sign in with a verified email, submit an official public reference and pass the Business Verification policy before paid checkout opens. Staff confirm authority using an accepted method and a minimal internal record. Spotter can pause or reject promotion that is misleading, unsafe or linked to review manipulation.
Billing control
Spotlight and Feature are recurring weekly subscriptions at the price shown before checkout. Active owners can open Stripe Customer Portal from the business desk to manage payment or cancellation. Webhook-confirmed subscription state controls whether placement is live.
If business authority is revoked, Spotter immediately pauses placement and attempts to expire unfinished checkout or cancel linked subscription billing. A billing follow-up remains visible to staff until shutdown is confirmed. Revocation does not itself determine any refund entitlement.
