Using Spotter

You must provide accurate account and business information, use the service lawfully and avoid attempts to manipulate scores, impersonate another person, scrape the service at scale or interfere with platform security.

If you claim a gym or trainer business, you confirm that you are its owner, director, manager, independent trainer or an authorised representative. You must keep public details accurate and tell Spotter if your authority ends.

Verified claim holders can update their equipment inventory. Select only equipment currently available to members or genuinely used by the promoted training service, and remove items promptly when they are no longer available.

A verified gym claim holder can publish current pricing and opening-hours summaries, and a verified trainer can maintain their promoted profile summary. These changes pass an automated safety check before publication and are recorded for integrity. Changes to a business name, location, public authority reference or verified identity require Spotter review.

Gym listings and community opinions are informational. Check important equipment, access, pricing, safety and accessibility details with the gym before relying on them.

Your contributions

You keep ownership of original content you submit and give Spotter permission to store, moderate, display and summarise it to operate the service. Submit only genuine first-hand experiences and content you have the right to share.

Spotter may reject, label or remove content that breaches the Community Standards. A genuine negative opinion is not removed merely because a business dislikes it.

You can withdraw your own take from the member account. A withdrawn take is removed from publication and future community-index calculations, while a minimal moderation record is retained for integrity, complaint handling and abuse prevention.

Paid promotion

Paid plans affect labelled visibility, not community scores. Recurring price and billing frequency are shown before Stripe Checkout. Subscription management and cancellation are available through the authenticated business desk and Stripe Customer Portal.

A business-controlled profile or factual listing field is separate from member takes, community scores and AI-generated consensus. Payment and profile access never let a business edit or suppress those independent community signals.

Business authority must pass Spotter’s verification policy before checkout opens. Verification records authority at the time checked and is not an endorsement of the business or its services.

If authority ends or is credibly disputed, Spotter may revoke the claim, remove paid visibility, disable claimant-issued visit codes and cancel linked subscription billing. Revocation does not by itself determine refund rights, which remain subject to the final terms and applicable law.

Final legal terms

The operating entity, governing law, consumer guarantees, liability settings, dispute contact and refund administration must be completed by Australian counsel before launch. Nothing in the final terms may exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
